A little about me
How I got started
I came to writing later than most in life. I had always written, first for fun, then, for many years as a journalist.
But I lacked, like many late-starting writers, the confidence to believe that what I would write would be either any good or have any interest to anyone else.
I’m still not sure on either point...
But with a play under my belt, the first novel sent out to agents and the follow up started, who knows?

My family
Sheena is the boss, Finn and Ben are the progeny and Laura and Hannah are their charming life choices. And Edie, don’t start me off about the world’s most beautiful, charming, graceful, elegant, heart-warming granddaughter... And I'm lucky enough to come from a huge family – I'm the youngest of eight and my mum the youngest of 13. Well, her dad was a baker!
